Content Management

  • Build a content calendar
  • Perform a content audit to help you make decisions on whether to keep, update, combine, or archive blog posts
  • Work with your writers to get articles assigned, edited, and published
  • Build articles in your CMS and make edits to existing content

Examples

Addgene: I managed the Addgene blog and did everything from overseeing the content calendar, generating article ideas, writing and editing content, and importing posts into the CMS. I even led the redesign of the blog.

The Microbial Menagerie: The Microbial Menagerie started out as my passion project seven years ago. As blog owner, I conceptualize blog posts and topic areas, write blog posts, and work with guest writers to publish their articles. I update articles as needed for content and for internal linking.

SEO

  • Optimize existing content for search engines
  • Develop a keyword strategy and content plan to help you maximize your organic visibility
  • Create new content based on keyword research

Examples

MilliporeSigma: MilliporeSigma has a wealth of information on its website. The problem: it was all hidden in PDF downloads and catered to the bottom of the marketing funnel. I repurposed PDF content and supplemented with new up-funnel educational material to create technical articles optimized for search.

Yale School of Medicine: I audited already published content around focus areas of neuroscience, inflammation, and global health. For each content pillar, I selected priority articles and edited them for search engine optimization.

Addgene: I cleaned up unused contacts, merged duplicated contacts, and archived unused workflows and forms.
